Donna Johnston-Martel is a mother of two beautiful boys and a licensed Kindermusik Educator. Donna has taught arts education for several years at both the university and public schools level. Donna has her Bachelor of Music (University of Saskatchewan – 1989), Master of Music (Indiana University, Bloomington – 1993), and a Bachelor of Education (University of Regina – 1996).
Donna plays piano, organ, saxophone and has performed as an Accompanist, Church Musician, and Choir Director for many years. She has sang in several choirs as well as played in a variety of concert and jazz ensembles. Donna enjoys a lifelong commitment to learning through her work in provincial Arts Education boards and committees, research in Early Childhood and world music, and regular performances.
Donna enjoys teaching children of all ages and loves watching them learn in their magical, marvellous world. She is excited to offer a variety of classes at her Kindermusik Studio in Southeast Regina (Village/Foundations, Our Time/Level 2, Imagine That/Level 3, Young Child/Level 4, and classes ‘en français’ to francophone families in the community). Thanks to all of Donna’s hard work, she has just been honoured with Maestro designation from Kindermusik headquarters for 2008 through to 2017!
